Indoor & Seated Play
Bed Volleyball: What It Is and How to Play It Safely
Updated | By the BEDVOLLEY team | 4 min read

BedVolley Mode is a seated or kneeling net game for compatible Queen and King beds. BEDVOLLEY is still in development, and final rules and safety guidance will be confirmed before launch.
The rules in one list
- Compatible Queen or King beds only
- Seated or kneeling only. No standing and no jumping.
- A soft, light ball and gentle rallies
- Adult assembly, and adult supervision for children
- Don't lean on the net or frame, which isn't body-weight supporting
- Use only the provided accessories
What it isn't
It isn't paddle play. PaddleVolley Mode uses the raised frame and is never played on a bed. It also isn't regulation sitting volleyball, which has its own court, net and rules.
Before you play
- Clear the bed and the area around it of hard objects, pets and anything breakable.
- Check that the frame is stable.
- Agree on the house rules: seated or kneeling, gentle hits.
- Stop if anything shifts, loosens or feels unsafe.
A note on testing
BEDVOLLEY hasn't been tested on every surface or in every condition.
