A family game that started at a sleepover

How BEDVOLLEY began

BEDVOLLEY started as the founder's idea during his daughter's sleepover: a way for kids and family to rally a ball together over a net without needing a gym or a big yard. That moment is the whole origin story, and we would rather tell it plainly than dress it up.

What we are building

One freestanding net frame, planned for three ways to play:

• BedVolley Mode — lower frame for compatible Queen and King beds only. Players stay seated or kneeling; no standing or jumping.
• FloorVolley Mode — lower frame on a mat or another suitable surface. Players stay seated or kneeling; no standing or jumping.
• PaddleVolley Mode — raised frame for controlled recreational paddle play.

The prototype pictured on this website is development equipment. Final specifications, kit contents, pricing and launch timing are not confirmed, and safety testing of the final product is still to come. Read the approved rules & safety guide before any play.

What we care about

• Family connection. Screen-free time where different ages can play together.
• Safety first. Ages 8+, adult assembly and adult supervision of children, with soft underhand serves.
• Honesty. We do not claim certifications, awards or results we do not have.

BEDVOLLEY Editorial Team

Articles on the BEDVOLLEY blog are written and reviewed by the BEDVOLLEY Editorial Team — the people building BEDVOLLEY. We are not coaches, referees, medical professionals or a sports governing body. When we explain official volleyball or pickleball rules, we link to the governing bodies' own published sources so you can check them yourself, and we keep BEDVOLLEY's recreational home play clearly separate from sanctioned sport.
